Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our dynamic healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, developing, and implementing individualized treatment plans to improve patients' mobility, strength, and overall functional ability. Duties:
- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients’ physical conditions, including mobility, strength, and functional limitations.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based practices tailored to each patient’s needs.
- Administer therapeutic interventions such as manual therapy, orthotics interventions in occupational therapy, and hand therapy occupational practices.
- Operate and maintain medical equipment used in physical therapy procedures with precision and safety.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists to coordinate patient care.
- Document patient progress accurately and adjust treatment plans accordingly to optimize recovery outcomes.
- Provide education to patients and their families regarding injury prevention, rehabilitation exercises, and health maintenance.
- Manage inpatient, outpatient, clinic, geriatrics, post-acute care, sub-acute care, hospital medicine, and dance therapy cases as required.
- Apply specialized skills in orthopedics, orthotics interventions in occupational therapy, and geriatrics to enhance treatment effectiveness.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with advancements in physiology knowledge and medical terminology.
Qualifications:
- Valid licensure or certification as a licensed Physical Therapist in the respective jurisdiction.
- Proven experience practicing in a physical therapy role across diverse settings such as inpatient units, outpatient clinics, or post-acute care facilities.
- Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy knowledge, medical terminology, and medical equipment operation.
- Demonstrated expertise in orthopedics, orthotics interventions in occupational therapy, hand therapy occupational practice, and dance therapy is preferred.
- Experience working with geriatric populations and managing sub-acute care cases is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
