Capitol View Transitional Care Center is a state-of-the-art true transitional care unit (TCU) located in Regions Hospital (we are part of the HealthPartners organization as a separate nonprofit organization.) We provide quality care to patients from 18+ years of age who are in need of a short-term stay. Our average length of stay is 17 days. As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for the following job duties and responsibilities:
• Plans and administers medically prescribed physical therapy treatment for adult and geriatric patients suffering from injuries or muscle, nerve, joint and bone diseases, to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability.
• Accurately tests and measures patient’s strength, motor development, sensory perception, functional capacity, respiratory and circulatory efficiency, and response to treatment and development needs.
• Develops and carries treatment plans and goals specifically designed for the patient.
• Instructs and motivates patients to perform various physical activities and consults with licensed Physical Therapist to advance or modify established goals.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
• Graduation from an accredited college or university with a degree as a physical therapist assistant
• Licensed and registered Physical Therapy Assistant with unrestricted license to practice in the State of Minnesota
