As a Physical Therapist, you will create a healing atmosphere that enhances theCleveland Clinic treatmentexperience.You willassistin providing highly specialized treatment for bones, joints,musclesand tendonsspecifically designed for the unique needs and health backgrounds of your patientsIn many cases, thesepatients are dealing with pain, so remaining sensitive and compassionate is important in helping them regain their health.Ultimately, yourefforts can provide theinitialdrive and support they need to continue forward in their healing journey.


A PRN caregiver in this position works Mon-Fri|800am—500pm|schedule may vary based on coverage needs.


A caregiver who excels in this role will:

  • Evaluate and conduct prescribed physical therapy treatment programs.

  • Perform initial and ongoing assessments of patients’ conditions.

  • Establish,reviseand evaluate plans of care while involving the patient and/or their family.

  • Perform therapy interventions.

  • Supervise activities of Physical Therapy Assistants,studentsand other caregivers.


Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Bachelor’sDegree orCertificate

  • Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT)

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS)Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)or American Red Cross


Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • 2 years of experience in a clinical area

  • Neurological experience

  • FND experience

  • EPIC experience


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to walk and climb stairs without assistive device and to maintain balance despite sudden load in order to support patient from falling.
  • Ability to meet physical demands characterized at the heavy level defined by 1993 Leonard Matheson and Ministry of Labor.
  • Ability to lift and reach with arms sufficiently to lift patient's arm and leg during therapeutic treatment program.
  • Sensation of touch and manual dexterity to be able to palpate muscle tension or to monitor patient pulse.
  • Visual acuity to observe patient's gross and fine motor movements in order to analyze these movements and to read all patient monitors.
  • Ability to speak clearly enough to instruct patients and families.
  • Ability to hear at a conversational level to understand patient's description of symptoms and response to treatment.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
