Physical Therapist

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our inpatient team in Ocala, working across both acute care (hospital) or inpatient rehabilitation (IRF) settings.

This is a unique opportunity to gain exposure to multiple levels of care while working within a supportive, team-oriented environment. You will be employed by Strive while working onsite within a leading hospital system, combining strong clinical support with access to advanced inpatient resources.

You will treat a diverse patient population ranging from adolescents to geriatrics (18+), working across both acute and inpatient rehab settings. This role provides the opportunity to manage patients through different stages of recovery—from initial hospitalization to functional independence.

You’ll collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, case managers, and therapy staff, making a direct impact on patient outcomes and discharge success.

This role is ideal for clinicians who enjoy variety, clinical growth, and a balance of medical complexity and functional rehabilitation.

Schedule & Work Environment

• Full-time (32+ hours) or part-time options available
• Hospital offers flexible start times while IRF is 8AM to 5PM
• Both location schedule options include Tuesday–Saturday, Sunday–Thursday OR Monday through Friday with rotating weekends (one on / one off)
• 4 weekend days per month required
• $5/hour weekend differential provided

Clinical Structure

• Work across acute care and inpatient rehabilitation settings
• Opportunity to cross-train across multiple inpatient units
• EMR system: Expanse (formerly Epic)

Acute Care (Hospital):

• Focus on functional mobility, early intervention, and discharge planning
• Dynamic caseload with varying levels of medical complexity

Inpatient Rehabilitation (IRF):

• One-on-one patient care model
• 90-minute treatment sessions
• Built-in documentation time + 30-minute lunch
• Focus on functional independence and long-term recovery outcomes
• Collaborative care with PT, OT, and Speech Therapy teams

Clinical Focus and Workplace Culture

Requirements

• Active Florida Physical Therapist license (or ability to obtain)
• Open to new graduates
