Austill's Educational Therapy Services, the leading provider of school-based related services in southeastern PA, seeks aPhysical Therapist Assistant (must have indirect license) to work with school age students for 1 day/week 8-3:15 (flexible which day M-F). This specialized program supports students with multiple disabilities; including but not limited to visual impairments and is a very engaging, supportive and collaborative setting for all.

Responsibilities of the Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant

• Direct therapy with students in preschool to grade 12
• Consultation with teachers, other therapists, support staff, and families to facilitate classroom mobility and participation.
• Documentation requirements include data collection, marking period progress updates, and yearly IEP revisions, including updated goals and treatment strategies.
• Attendance at IEP meetings is recommended.
• Some travel may be required throughout the school day

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant educational program.
• Valid Pennsylvania Physical Therapist Assistant Indirect License
• Passion for working with children and a clear dedication to helping them maximize their potential
• Excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills
• Exceptional desire to be a collaborative team member, learn and grow
