We are seeking a specialized candidate for the role of Physical Therapist. Physical Therapists evaluate and record a patient's progress and help injured or ill people improve movement and manage pain. They are often an important part of preventive care, rehabilitation, and treatment for patients with chronic conditions, illnesses, or injuries.

Physical Therapist Responsibilities:

• Restores patient’s function, alleviates pain, and prevents disabilities by planning and administering medically prescribed physical therapy.
• Provides quality care by assessing and interpreting evaluations and test results.
• Determines physical therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians or by prescription.
• Helps patient accomplish treatment plan by administering manual exercises, giving massages, and using equipment as necessary.
• Evaluates and records patient’s progress, modifying treatment plans, and trying new treatments if required.
• Evaluates the use and fit of prosthetic and orthotic devices by noting, and observing patient’s progress; and recommending adjustments and modifications.
• Documents patient care services by charting in-patient and department records.
• Instructs patients in proper in-home exercises and therapies.
• Educates patients and their families about the recovery process and the challenges they will face.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
• Adhere to ethical and legal standards, ensuring compliance.
• Other job functions as needed.

What You Bring to Refuah:

• DPT preferred
• Current NYS Physical Therapist license
• Minimum of one year of physical therapy experience
• Comfortable with torticollis, gross motor delays & delayed walking/crawling.
• Ability to work with all ages, preferred but not required
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively educate and empathetically interact with patients and their families
• Strong commitment to professional growth, staying current with the latest advancements in the field of Physical Therapy
• Outpatient experience preferred
• Eligible to Work in the US
