Security and Safety provides quality leadership, services and solutions to safeguard people and the environment, secure and protect company information and assets as well as enhance operational efficiency for the Corporation. The Physical Security Staff (Security Staff IV/ V) is responsible for ensuring successful security and safety programs are in place by implementing programs for protecting classified and unclassified sensitive information. This position performs specialized duties in one or more security disciplines.

The selected candidate will be required to work full-time, onsite at our location in El Segundo, CA.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Responsible for ensuring successful security and safety programs are in place by implementing programs for protecting classified and unclassified sensitive information. Primary responsibility is physical security but also involves comprehensive knowledge/experience of all security disciplines.
  • Provides physical security expertise for the lifecycle of corporate sensitive compartmented information facilities (SCIF’s) and other special secured areas.
  • Collaborates with facilities personnel and architects and applicable government customers, to ensure security issues are addressed during concept phase, construction, modification, maintenance and close out activities.
  • Provides technical support for intrusion detection system alarms, access control and other security systems.
  • Establishes a process for alarm response and repair. Conducts system audits, assessments and reviews.
  • Develop security system plans in accordance with government and industry regulations.
  • Reviews and develops physical, technical and access policies and procedures to support operations.
  • Conducts physical security surveys, and facility threat assessments to ensure facilities meet necessary physical security requirements. Prepares written reports identifying recommendations for correction as required.
  • Partners with program security officers and other stakeholders to address Co-Use and Joint-Use requests and security related updates.
  • Updates fixed facility checklists, TEMPEST checklists, compartmented area checklists and other required documentation to attain and maintain accreditations.
  • Completes yearly self-inspection reports, corrective action plans and submits to applicable sponsors.

What You Need to be Successful

Minimum Requirements for Physical Security Staff (Security Staff IV):

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Eight or more years of physical security experience
  • Top Secret w/SCI eligibility and Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph
  • Knowledge and practical application of DoD 5220.22, ICD/ICS 705 series, 32 Code of Federal regulations (CRF) Part 117 (NISPOM), and other applicable security directives, policies and Executive Orders.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Knowledge of physical security concepts and practices to include intrusion prevention and detection, closed circuit television, and access control
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

In addition to the above, the minimum requirements for the Physical Security Staff ( Security Staff V) include:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Ten or more years of relevant experience with physical security is required
  • Experience as a Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO) or related job responsibilities

How You Can Stand Out?

It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:

  • Master’s degree
  • 10+ years relevant experience with Bachelor's degree, OR 8+ years with Master's degree
  • Experience with IC/Government databases (TALON/FAM) and conducting Office of Technical Relations pre-publication reviews
  • DoD or Industry security certification (CPP, PSP, SFPC, PSC) and completion of Physical Security training (ICD 705, CDSE)
  • Proven ability to lead corporate-level complex projects, mentor individuals, and assign/monitor daily tasks
  • Ability to interpret building design/blueprints for security requirement validation and analyze problems to propose solutions
  • Proficiency gathering information from multiple sources to develop briefing materials and support projects
  • Ability to work collaboratively across agencies and physical locations with minimal supervision

Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.
