Position Summary: Provides clinical and clerical support relating to department activities. Performs diverse duties to provide support to physical medicine staff / department functions and systems to maximize efficiency and effectiveness. Trained to assist in rehabilitation therapy treatments under the direct supervision of a PT/PTA, OTR/COTA, and/or SLP.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Skillfully performs treatments as assigned under appropriate direction
  • Transports patients from rooms and other areas
  • Responsible for inventory and supply orders
  • Completes data entry of billing in a timely manner
  • Covers reception/clerical positions per department needs.
  • Promotes a clean and safe environment of care, utilizing the SAFE error prevention habits
  • Provides the highest standard of privacy and confidentiality in matters involving patients, coworkers, and the hospital by abiding by the Standards of Conduct
  • Interpersonal skills are needed to communicate with other health care professionals and establish therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
  • Uphold professional standards and responsibilities by achieving service competence and supporting evidence-based interventions to promote quality in practice.
  • Includes Saturday and Sunday rotation work as applicable.

Required Qualifications

Education and Training:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Current CPR certification required
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
  • Transports patients from rooms and other areas.
  • Provides clerical support to department.
  • Previous tech experience preferred.

Work Shift Details:

Days - Variable weekday and weekend, Minimum requirement: 2 weekend shifts/month (2 Saturdays or Saturday/Sunday)

Saturday shifts: 8am- 4:30pm

Sunday shifts: 8am-12pm

1 holiday/year, 1 holiday weekend/year

The expected pay for this position is listed below:

$17.99 - $17.99

The final pay rate offered may be more than the posted range based on several factors including but not limited to: licensure, certifications, work experience, education, knowledge, demonstrated abilities, internal equity, market data, and more.
