Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Consultant to join our dedicated healthcare team. This role involves assessing and managing patients with physical disabilities caused by injury, illness, or chronic disease. The consultant will develop individualized rehabilitation plans to maximize patients' physical function, reduce pain, and improve quality of life.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations to identify rehabilitation needs and goals.
- Design and implement personalized rehabilitation treatment plans using evidence-based practices.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care.
- Educate patients and their families on rehabilitation processes, recovery expectations, and self-care techniques.
- Stay informed about advances in physical medicine and rehabilitation to inform clinical practice.
- Participate in research and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
- Document patient assessments, treatments, and progress accurately in compliance with regulations.
Requirements
- Medical degree (M.D. or D.O.) from an accredited institution.
- Board certification in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
- Valid medical license to practice.
- Minimum of 5 years clinical experience in physical medicine and rehabilitation.
- Excellent skills in evaluating and managing diverse physical disabilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to ongoing professional education and development.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
