Job Description

We are looking for a Physical Education PE Teacher for an international high school based in Zhuhai. This position is available from the 2026–27 academic year in August 2026.

This is an international high school based in Zhuhai. Since its establishment 12 years ago, the school has supported many outstanding graduates in progressing to leading universities around the world, including the University of Oxford, Imperial College London, the University of Toronto, the University of Hong Kong, the Australian National University, Berklee College of Music and other well-known institutions. The school has achieved strong academic results, with students receiving top honors in both global and China-based Cambridge International examinations.

Job responsibilities

• Teach PE to secondary school students and ensure an engaging, active and enriching learning experience
• Plan and deliver well-structured PE lessons that develop students’ physical skills, fitness, teamwork and sportsmanship
• Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, assessments, student progress records and report comments
• Organize and support sports activities, school teams, competitions and other co-curricular programmes
• Collaboratively teach alongside fellow educators and actively contribute to the development and enhancement of the school’s curriculum
• Assess and monitor students’ progress and provide clear targets so that all learners can succeed and improve
• Provide clear and constructive feedback to students and their parents and caregivers
• Promote a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment for all students

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Physical Education, Sports Science or a related subject
• Teaching certificate preferred
• Three or more years of relevant PE teaching experience
• Experience teaching high school students preferred
• Strong ability to organize sports activities, competitions and student training programmes
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
