As our Physican Assistant, Family Medicine, you will join an established practice in beautiful Bainbridge Island, WA, and will be responsible for utilizing training and skills to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a physician. This position offers a strong work-life balance with weekday clinic hours and a shared phone call coverage schedule. We are looking for a true team player who is passionate about patient care and committed to providing exceptional customer service.


Every day, you will apply your comprehensive expertise to assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of health conditions across various age groups, from pediatrics to geriatrics. This involves patient consultations, developing treatment plans, prescribing medications, and focusing on preventive care and health education, all within a collaborative healthcare team.

To be successful in your role, you will meticulously provide direct patient care, utilizing your specialized training and skills to assess, diagnose, and manage a diverse patient population within family medicine, under physician supervision. You will demonstrate exceptional clinical proficiency and a compassionate approach, ensuring comprehensive care coordination and optimal patient outcomes within your scope of practice.

  • Provide full-spectrum primary care, including preventive care, acute illness treatment, and management of chronic diseases (e.g., diabetes, hypertension) for patients of all ages
  • Deliver wellness examinations, health screenings, and immunizations to support disease prevention
  • Counsel patients on diet, lifestyle choices, and disease management
  • Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests such as laboratory work and imaging
  • Offer guidance, counseling, and education on wellness, disease management, and medication adherence to patients and their families
  • Act as the first point of contact and coordinate care with specialists, nursing staff, and social workers
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and detailed medical records, utilizing EPIC appropriately
  • FTE .80 Compensation ranges from $104,078 - $142,212 /year

Job Requirements

Required

  • Physician Assistant, Certified
  • Current State PA-C license with prescriptive authority.
  • CPR certification.
  • BCLS required.
  • Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to service, organization values and professionalism through appropriate conduct and demeanor at all times.

Preferred

One year of previous APP experience in primary care, urgent care, or ED setting is preferred

Virginia Mason Bainbridge Island offers a full range of primary care and internal medicine services with onsite ancillary support services such as moderate complex laboratory, general radiology, screening mammography, bone density, ultrasound and MRI/CT. Other services include rotating specialists in over 15 specialty service lines and Urgent Care offered onsite.
