
Becker School District is conveniently located off of US Hwy 10, just 20 minutes SE from St. Cloud and 45 minutes NW from the Twin Cities. The District consists of five buildings, all situated on a single, cohesive campus and serves approximately 2,800 students - Early Education Building, Primary School (K-2), Intermediate School (3-5), Middle School (6-8), and High School (9-12). Becker Public Schools is seeking a qualified long-term substitute to serve as a Physical Education teacher. This position involves teaching one hour at Becker High School, with the remainder of the day dedicated to 8th-grade physical education at Becker Middle School.
Expectations:
Provide engaging, hands-on learning experiences.
Connect content to real-life situations.
Support students in developing independence and decision-making skills.
Align instruction to standards within the four focus areas.
Plan and implement lessons aligned with the 2018 Minnesota K-12 Academic Standards and Grade-Level Benchmarks for Physical Education.
Promote engagement in consistent, moderate to vigorous aerobic and/or muscle- and bone-strengthening physical activity.
Utilize formative and summative assessments to measure student progress toward meeting grade-level benchmarks.

Schedule: 1 FTE
Salary: BA Lane pus years of experience ($49,102 - $70,495).
Requirements/Licensure: Valid MN Physical Education Teaching License
