We are looking for a PHY System Team Leader to lead and drive PHY system activities across the full product lifecycle, from feature definition through integration, validation, and delivery.

What you'll do:

• Lead end-to-end 5G PHY system activities, from feature development to system integration.
• Serve as the technical focal point for all PHY and RF-related aspects.
• Define and own system-level requirements for PHY components.
• Optimize and fine-tune PHY layer algorithms to improve performance and efficiency of base-station products.
• Drive lab testing and validation using RF test equipment.
• Own and maintain CI/CD flows for PHY performance and conformance testing.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers within the PHY team.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Software, DSP, RF, and Hardware, to ensure seamless integration.

What You Should Have:

• Experience in wireless communications, PHY layer development, or system integration.
• Previous experience leading or managing technical teams.
• Strong understanding of wireless communication systems.
• Good understanding of RF RX and TX chains.
• Hands-on experience with RF lab test equipment.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Matlab or Python.
• Strong system-level perspective in a multi-disciplinary environment.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Excellent communication skills in Hebrew and English, and ability to work in a global, multi-site environment.

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of 4G / 5G physical layer specifications.
• Experience working with Linux operating systems.
• Background in advanced wireless technologies such as Massive MIMO and beamforming.
