As a PHP Laravel Developer at Kwanso, you will play a pivotal role in driving the development and maintenance of our cutting-edge web applications. Your responsibilities will include implementing new features, providing ongoing support, and ensuring the robustness of our infrastructure. Working closely with cross-functional teams comprising developers, designers, and stakeholders, you will ensure that our applications are not only functional but also scalable and secure.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Develop and implement new features for our web applications using PHP and Laravel frameworks.
• Maintain and provide support for existing features, ensuring their optimal performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Provide support on the infrastructure side, including deployments through Forge.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the stack.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Troubleshoot and debug code to resolve issues and improve performance.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in PHP and Laravel development.
• Gathering requirements around functionality and translating those requirements into elegant functional solutions.
• Working closely with all team members to understand full-stack functionality and architecture.
• Staying abreast with technological updates and implementing technology improvements after R&D.
• Ensure adherence to engineering processes such as code reviews, source control, unit testing, use case analysis, defect management, continuous integration, and deployment.
• Work closely with the project managers to provide technical solutions and innovative ideas to cater to project needs.
• Supporting teams by developing documentation and assistance tools

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

• Proficiency in PHP and the Laravel framework.
• Experience with Blade templates and other front-end technologies.
• Familiarity with AWS services is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with deployment processes, particularly through Forge.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
