As an Advance Local Photo Intern with MLive, you will join a dynamic and inclusive newsroom team focused on local journalism for one of the country’s largest privately owned media companies. This paid, full-time internship runs May 11, 2026, through August 29, 2026 (40 hours per week). Interns are reimbursed for mileage, and project work is encouraged.
Interns will be responsible for pitching story ideas, covering assignments, producing photo galleries, creating social media posts, and contributing video and multimedia content. Some writing will also be required.
Interns will be provided with a MacBook Pro equipped with Adobe Creative Suite, along with access to Nikon pool equipment.
A successful candidate will be able to cover general assignments in-person. This job requires reliable transportation to meet with sources or cover events.
