LabCorp is seeking a Phlebotomy Team Lead to join our team in Austin, TX (78744)

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday hours will vary based on coverage needs between 7:00am to 7:00pm (overtime and rotating weekends may be required as needed)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide coverage and travel to various sites to perform phlebotomy job duties

  • Assist in start and setup of new client locations

  • Support administrative operations for phlebotomy team in local market

  • Perform site inspections on a regular basis and accurately report all findings

  • Provide continuous training to phlebotomy staff as directed

  • Manage and monitor patient flow, wait times, inventory levels and information logs

  • Address any customer service-related issues in a prompt and respectful manner

  • Review daily/weekly schedule with supervisor and making schedule adjustments as needed

  • Promote teamwork, cohesiveness and effective communication among coworkers

  • Perform all duties of a phlebotomist and site coordinator as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 or more years' phlebotomy experience working in a clinical / hospital environment

  • 2 or more years' experience assisting all patient age groups (pediatric - geriatric)

  • Current or prior LabCorp experience

Additional Job Standards:

  • In lieu of work experience, a phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency

  • Will cover sites in Austin, TX and surrounding areas (75+ miles)

  • Ability to work in fast paced / high volume work environments

  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

  • Be 21 years of age or older and have a clean driving record

  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed

  • Exceptional customer service

  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal

  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment

  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision

This role will primarily be utilized to support the initial start up of new client locations. You will be working with a variety of patients, team members, and clinics/locations. This unique role will allow you to develop your skills and set you up for opportunities and continuous growth within the organization. If you like variety, this role is perfect for you!

* QUARTERLY INCENTIVE BONUS PROGRAM: PST’s may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics
