Labcorp isseeking a Phlebotomy Team Lead to work in Southfield, MI

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 11:00AM-7:30PM

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide coverage and travel to various sites to perform phlebotomy job duties

  • Assistin the supervision of a team of phlebotomists covering multiple Patient Service Centers & client sites

  • Observe new employee performance and report observations to the supervisor

  • Perform site inspections on a regular basis and accurately report all findings

  • Provide continuous training to phlebotomy staff as directed

  • Complete new hire and annual competency assessments when necessary

  • Manage andmonitorpatient flow, wait times, inventorylevelsand information logs

  • Address any customerservice relatedissues in a prompt and respectful manner

  • Review daily/weekly schedule with supervisor and making schedule adjustments as needed

  • Promoteteam work, cohesiveness and effective communication among coworkers

  • Perform all duties of a phlebotomist and site coordinator as needed

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 years or moreof experience as a phlebotomist

  • Phlebotomy certification or completed training

Additional Job Standards:

  • In lieu of state licenserequirementlisted above, an application for a phlebotomy license filed with the CA Department of Health at time of hire may meet licenserequirement

  • Must have a Valid Driver's License and clean driving record with reliable transportation

  • Must be at least 21 years’ old

  • In-depth knowledge of phlebotomy duties,responsibilitiesand techniques

  • Proventrack recordin providing exceptional customer service

  • Strong communicationskills; both written and verbal

  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment

  • Comfortably working under minimal supervision

  • Reliable transportation and clean driving record if applicable

  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
