Job Description

Performs procedures involving blood collection, central receiving/specimen handling, and limited technical functions to assist the technologist in performing laboratory analysis.

Education and Training

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Certificate in Phlebotomy or as a Medical Assistant preferred.
  • Six months previous phlebotomy experience AND/OR completion of a Medical Assistant Program OR a Phlebotomy Program.
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire and/or transfer.

Experience

  • Six months previous phlebotomy experience preferred.

Variable Schedule:

  • Hours: 24 Hours per week
  • 7:00-3:30p or
  • 7:30-4:00p or
  • 8:00-5:00p

Location: Will Travel to offsite Labs located in Hudson, Akron, Kent, Tallmadge
