General Purpose of Job: Following established procedures obtains blood specimens for clinical laboratory analysis for the patient population served by UMH-West. Distributes specimens promptly to the laboratory, performs waived point-of-care testing and maintains clinical and professional competency. Education: Minimum of High School Diploma or GED 1-2 years of college (pre-med or pre-MLS) is preferred. License / Certification / Registration: Certification is preferred, after one year of experience with ASCP, ASPT, NCA, and AMT Experience: Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant training/ experience is preferred.
