Job Category: Nonprofit - Social ServicesThe Philanthropy and Grants Coordinator is responsible for managing various development functions as well as managing and executing the submission of grant applications. Working with a small team of colleagues, this individual will enjoy a variety of work assignments that include research and writing, creative marketing projects, engagement with donors and clients, and participation in a multitude of networking activities as well as dynamic fundraising events. Exciting opportunity to engage in a variety of advancement projects with a fun and friendly team. Reporting to the Senior Director of Development, primary position responsibilities include:
Fluency in Microsoft Office and Adobe products, with a basic knowledge of Canva and Constant Contact a plus. Must possess a valid driver’s license. Cognitive, verbal, and manual skills necessary. Hearing and visual acuity necessary; corrective devices are acceptable. Must be able to stand, crouch, kneel, lift and carry a minimum of fifty pounds, and be able to participate in the set-up, running of, and breakdown of special events. Growth mindset and desire to learn in a dynamic and supportive environment for which opportunities will be provided. Must be able to work under required deadlines, while being flexible to handle special requests, projects, and professionally handle stressful situations. Maintain the highest level of professionalism in the delivery of services, building of relationships, collaboration with co-workers, and representation of The Legacy Foundation/Legacy Treatment Services within the organization and the community.
Hours: 9-5 daily with flexibility if you are attending an after hours event A few weekend days per year for special events Team is usually in the office 4 days per week with 1 remote day Some travel in the region to meetings and activities
QualificationsEducation/Experience: The position requires a Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience in donor relations/stewardship/nonprofit/grant writing. Must possess excellent grammar, writing and communication skills and ability to work well within a small team.
