YOUR TEAM

Are you interested in Offensive-Security as well as AI technologies and looking for a PhD work?
Then our team is waiting for you! We are looking for the right talents to support us on our way to “Leading the evolution to the most secure mobility products” within the Compute Platform. Here we are not only developing the next generations of the most powerful automotive ECU’s and Software, but also the technologies and methods to secure our products from the world outside.
You will work together with some of the best automotive security specialists within our company and develop AI based methods to strengthen the verification process from code to car.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Research and Development in the area of security Methods (Whitebox/Blackbox Fuzzing with LLM/AI)
  • Research and Development in the area of security Concepts to use Fuzzing as prediction on Vulnerability and Incident
  • Research and Development in the area of security Documentation (Security Reports, Risk analysis, and secure coding standards)
  • Specification and Implementation of identified Methods/Concepts/Documentation into a CI/CD/CT Pipeline
  • Automatic generation of Testcases, Test procedure, Test reports and Product Quality Matrix
  • Rephrase Analysis for how to automate Mock Scenarios
  • Analysis of implementation on effects for Test-run, efficiency and coverage, cost and performance

WHO YOU ARE

  • Master's degree in the field of Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent field
  • Knowledge in Fuzzing (Black to white, state of the art tools)
  • Programming Language (C, C ++ 20, Java, RUST, Python)
  • Knowledge of automotive engineering fundamentals code analysis (e.g. Misra, Sanitizer)
  • Knowledge in pipeline flow and setup (Jenkins, Docker, Build scrips, GitHub, Copilot and Azure)
  • Knowledge in CycloneDx , JSON and YAML is advantageous
  • Team-oriented, growth-minded, goal-focused, and communicative

Start date: flexible (with a fixed contract of three years)

• You get a fixed annual salary of (based on 13 months):
Year 1: 43.654 EUR (brutto)
Year 2: 48.503 EUR (brutto)
Year 3: 53.365 EUR (brutto)

Important: The PhD admission requirements are set by the university, and candidates have to fulfill these requirements before starting their projects. Candidates are responsible for finding a professor for supervision before joining Cariad. A written confirmation by the designated supervisor is required before onboarding (not necessary for the application).
