This opportunity will be primarily based at Brisbane South (Nathan). As Griffith is a multi-site University you may be required to work across other locations. Griffith University sites are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.
We are currently looking for 2 PhD candidates to undertake research as part of the Australian Research Council-funded project, Developing Electric/Electromagnetic Field-Enhanced Packed-Bed Electrochemical Reactors (DP260100590).
The primary focus of this role is to investigate the enhancement of electrochemical reactions with electric or magnetic field to advance green electrochemical production technology. This project includes gaining proficiencies in advanced materials characterisation, reactor engineering and electrochemical technologies.
This opportunity will be primarily based at the Brisbane South (Nathan) campus.
The selection of applicants for the award of higher degree research scholarships at Griffith University involves consideration of your academic merit and research background. You will have evidence of a passion for self-motivated research, with a strong desire to undertake research in materials chemistry, electrochemical engineering and energy storage applications.

The 2026 Griffith University Postgraduate Research Scholarship has an annual stipend of $35,656 (indexed) for a period of up to three years of full-time study. Please see the GUPRS Conditions of Award for more information.
