Scope of Responsibilities: Works under direct supervision of a pharmacist. Follows standard procedures and state regulations to accomplish assigned tasks. Assists in orienting and training employees. This role is intended for individuals who are actively progressing toward becoming a Registered Pharmacy Technician.
The Pharmacy Technician Trainee provides entry‑level assistance in prescription processing, customer service, inventory activities, and technology operations within the pharmacy. The trainee learns and practices job functions under close oversight to ensure safe, accurate, and high‑quality patient care. As skills develop, additional responsibilities may be assigned in alignment with state regulations and employer training requirements. The Trainee is actively participating in the Kinney Certification Program to become a Registered Pharmacy Technician within 2 years.
