About the role
Cabrini Health is seeking an experienced and motivated Pharmacy Technician Team Leader to join our Pharmacy Department. Working under the direction of the Pharmacy Leadership Team, you will play a key role in leading daily operations, developing staff capability and ensuring the safe, efficient preparation and dispensing of medications in line with legislative requirements, professional standards and Cabrini's Mission, Vision and Values.
Key responsibilities:
Lead, supervise and support the Pharmacy Technician team, fostering a positive, collaborative and high-performing culture.
Coordinate technician rostering, workforce planning, training, education and professional development.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, implement new processes and contribute to quality and operational excellence.
Oversee the safe and efficient preparation, dispensing and delivery of medications, including sterile, cytotoxic and extemporaneous products, under pharmacist supervision.
Support the management of high-cost medicines, pharmacy inventory and key operational activities, including stock control, PBS processing and documentation.
Coordinate microbiological testing and monitoring within the Aseptic Compounding Suite (ACS) and ensure compliance with legislative, quality and organisational standards.
What we’re looking for
Certificate IV in Hospital/Health Services Pharmacy Support.
Minimum two years' experience in a hospital pharmacy setting.
Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
The ability to prioritise competing demands in a busy clinical environment.
A strong customer service focus.
Initiative, flexibility and a commitment to continuous improvement.
A commitment to safe medication practices and quality patient care.
