ICE | PTSL Pharmacy Stores
A Pharmacy Technician IV will supervise, direct, coordinate and provide first line administrative and technical functions for our technicians, volunteers, students, and other personnel as directed. This position is an upper-level technician position in the Department of Pharmacy responsible for procuring and stocking medications for UAMS Health. The employee in this position must demonstrate special skills and knowledge not required by the other pharmacy technician. The technician in this position will assist department leadership to support the goals and vision of the service line. The pharmacy technician IV works in partnership with the pharmacist manager to develop and streamline pharmacy improvement initiative, including project aimed at meeting departmental goals. The individual participates as an essential member of the pharmacy leadership team to address and resolve broad management/administrative issues such as planning for future programs and services, patient and staff safety, regulatory compliance, and operational monitoring. Pharmacy Technician IV may work online based on department need to help with day-to-day dispensing functions, tasks and job duties to provide timely and efficient patient services. They will help with maintaining, changing, and implementing new workflows, technology/automation, and process improvement projects. They provide leadership and assistance for developing appropriate training, education, and competencies for employees and rotation students. This position will promote staff engagement and great customer service. They will also represent the department by serving on committees and attending meetings as assigned.
