
The Pharmacy Technician II – Certified supports the Pharmacists and healthcare team(s) by ensuring the safe and efficient preparation, dispensing, and management of medications within the hospital or healthcare facility. This position requires advanced technical skills and in-depth knowledge of pharmacy operations, including medication preparation, sterile and non-sterile compounding, inventory management, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The Pharmacy Technician II is also responsible for maintaining accurate records, providing exceptional customer service to patients and staff, and collaborating with pharmacists to optimize patient care. Education: High School Diploma or GED required; successful completion of a certified pharmacy technician training program is preferred
Experience: Three or more years of pharmacy technician experience in a retail setting preferred
Licenses/Certificates: Alabama Pharmacy Technician Registration Required; Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB) or C-NHA-Certified Pharmacy techncialn required to be completed within 6 months of hire
