About the Role
You will fulfil the roles and responsibilities of an experienced pharmacy technician demonstrating expert knowledge and skills. You will be an active member of the pharmacy clinical trials teams and assist the pharmacists with the delivery of clinical trial pharmacy services with a high degree of autonomy and accountability.
• Clinical trial support including completing trial paperwork, stock management, trials dispensing, monitoring and billing.
• Dispensing prescriptions or inpatient medicines for checking by a pharmacist
• Maintain appropriate stock levels of trial pharmaceuticals, consumables and stationery.
• Aseptic preparations in support of clinical trials including cytotoxic, biohazard and sterile preparations.
The classification for this position is TH10 ($65,754 per annum).
Your Contribution
• Certificate IV in Health (Hospital Pharmacy Technician) course or equivalent awarded by a registered Training Organisation
• Clinical trials pharmacy technician experience preferred
• Hospital pharmacy technician experience essential
• Advanced computer knowledge and skill
• Excellent command of spoken and written English
• Displayed ability of work as a member of a team
• Valid work visa for Australia
• Current national criminal history check, or willing to obtain

About Pharmacy
St Vincent’s Hospital Pharmacy Department pharmacy services are decentralised, and are provided from several satellite pharmacies located in patient treatment areas. We provide pharmacy services to inpatients, outpatients and correctional facilities. Pharmacy technicians, as part of the pharmacy support team, support pharmacists is their work within a multidisciplinary health care environment which delivers care in a patient focused manner.

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.
We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.
With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.
We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.
