Job Description

$31.65 per hour + salary packaging | Pharmacy Technician Horsham

Multiple opportunities available

  • Permanent Part Time | 16 hours per week
  • Permanent Full Time | 38 hours per week including a monthly ADO
  • Fixed Term Part Time | 32 hours per week until September 2027

About the Role

This position offers the opportunity to be part of a supportive pharmacy team where your contribution will have a real impact. Based at the Horsham campus, the role is varied and hands on, with a focus on both dispensary and ward support. You will be involved in medication preparation and distribution, stock control, PBS claims, and liaising with clinical staff to help deliver high quality pharmacy services to patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage purchasing, receipting and stock control
  • Maintain and restock ward imprests
  • Assist in labelling and preparing medications for dispensing
  • Support PBS claim processes and invoice preparation
  • Assist with chemotherapy order processing
  • Complete general admin and IT duties within pharmacy

Skills and Experience

  • Certificate III in Health (Pharmacy Technician) or equivalent
  • Strong IT and iPharmacy system skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks
  • Detail-focused with strong communication skills
  • Experience in hospital or community pharmacy preferred

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.
