
This position is responsible for the accurate assistance of pharmacists in providing pharmaceutical care to both in-patients and out-patients. Computer entry and processing of patient drug orders; sterile and non-sterile preparations of liquids and solid dosage forms; care and ordering of supplies and equipment; training of trainees; processing of admittance, discharge and transfer of patient drugs; performing miscellaneous related tasks.
Education required: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
License, certification and/or registration: The Alabama Board of Pharmacy must license the candidate, which is contingent upon becoming certified by the national Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) within 6 months of employment
