The Supplies Department of Beaumont Hospital is critical to the operation of the Hospital as a whole.In particular, the Stores function is responsible for the provision of efficient and effective support tothe Supplies Department in the management, control, and distribution of stock and pharmaceuticalitems across the hospital.The successful candidate will ensure timely procurement, receipt, storage, and delivery of goods andservices in compliance with hospital procedures as more fully outlined in the principal duties andresponsibilities below.

1. Professional Qualifications, Experience, etc
Eligible applicants will be those who on the closing date for the competition:
i. Have obtained at least grade D (or pass) in Higher or Ordinary Level in five subjects from the approved list of subjects in the Department of Education established Leaving Certificate Examination or Leaving Certificate Vocational Programme or Leaving Certificate Applied.
Or
ii. Passed an examination of at least equivalent standard.
Or
iii. Have satisfactory relevant experience which encompasses demonstrable equivalent skills.
And
iv. Candidates must possess the requisite knowledge and ability, including a high standard of suitability and administrative ability), for the proper discharge of the office.
2. Health
A candidate for and any person holding the office must be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties attached to the office and be in a state of health such as would indicate a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service.
3. Character
Each candidate for and any person holding the office must be of good character.
Desirable Skills and experience

Beaumont Hospital (incorporating St. Joseph's Hospital, Raheny) is the principal teaching hospital for the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. Beaumont is the Lead Hospital of the RCSI Hospital Group, which includes; Connolly Hospital, Rotunda Hospital, Monaghan Hospital, Louth County Hospital Dundalk and Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital Drogheda.
In addition, we are a Designated Cancer Centre and the Regional Treatment Centre for Ear, Nose and Throat, and Gastroenterology. We are also the National Referral Centre for Neurosurgery and Neurology, Renal Transplantation, and Cochlear Implantation.
