Pharmacy Resident
Purpose & Scope:
PGY1 pharmacy residency position is built on Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) education and outcomes to contribute to the development of clinical pharmacists responsible for medication-related care of patients with a wide range of conditions, eligible for board certification, and eligible for postgraduate year two (PGY2) pharmacy residency training.
Education:
Graduation from an accredited school of pharmacy is preferred.
Experience:
None.
Certification/Licensure:
Eligible for licensure in the state of Virginia is required.
Licensed as a Pharmacist by the Virginia Department of Health Professions to be obtained within three months.
Other Qualifications
Licensure requirement may be extended by one additional month by approval only.
