JOB SUMMARY
The Community Health Center Pharmacy Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy and the distribution of medications to patients. The Manager duties include ensuring that all staff members are performing their jobs effectively and in accordance with company policies and procedures, communicating with health center providers to determine the type of medication and dosage for a patient, taking inventory of pharmaceutical drugs to reorder them based on local demand and interacting with pharmacy patients/customers to give them their prescriptions and answer medication questions. The Pharmacy Manager will control medications by monitoring drug therapies, advising interventions. Additionally, completing pharmacy operational requirements by organizing and directing pharmacists and technicians’ workflow, verifying their preparation, and labeling of pharmaceuticals, and verifying order entries, charges, and inspections
The Pharmacy Manager may also be responsible for hiring, training, and supervising employees. This includes ensuring that staff have the proper knowledge and skills to perform their job duties safely and effectively.

Full access to patients’ medical records and encounter data. Particular attention to be paid to communication across agency/organizational lines. Works with Compliance Officer to ensure that all policies are adhered to.
