PHARMACY LEAD, INTEGRATIONS (WESTERN CANADA)

Neighbourly Pharmacy (“Neighbourly”) is Canada’s largest and fastest growing network of independent pharmacies. We are seeking a highly-motivated Pharmacy Lead, Integrations to join our growing acquisition Integrations team. The ideal candidate will be located in Saskatchewan, Alberta or British Columbia.

Location:
This role will require extensive travel across Canada, however mainly within Western Canada and occasionally into the office for meetings as required by department leaders.

As the Pharmacy Lead, Acquisitions you will spearhead assessment initiatives when integrating newly acquired store locations. The role involves evaluating pharmacy operational procedures, compliance adherence, and performance metrics to assess process improvement and training requirements using strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a thorough understanding of provincial pharmacy regulations and standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Assessment Planning & Execution
• Develop and execute comprehensive assessment plans for newly acquired pharmacy locations, focusing on compliance, quality, and efficiency.
• Conduct assessments using standardized methodologies, analyzing data and processes as new pharmacy locations are integrated.
• Assess acquired pharmacy operations to ensure compliance with provincial regulatory standards, laws, and company policies.
• Identify gaps or areas of non-compliance and recommend corrective actions.
• Evaluate the quality of services, prescription fulfillment, inventory management, and patient care within the pharmacy operations.
• Develop strategies to integrate existing company quality standards to ensure consistency within newly acquired locations.
• Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate operational performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Provide actionable insights based on assessment findings to enhance operational efficiency.
• Assess the skills, knowledge, and gaps of acquired store employees to design relevant training curriculum.
• Assist with the development and implementation of comprehensive training integration plans for acquired entities and coordinate with functional leaders to ensure a smooth transition and realization of synergies.
• Work closely with functional leaders and facilitate cross-functional training sessions to foster collaboration and understanding among teams from both the acquiring and acquired entities.
• Assist with creating training materials, manuals, and resources to facilitate learning and familiarization with company processes.
• Coordinate logistics, scheduling, and resources required for training programs.
• Establishes a relationship and participates in regular meeting cadences with all District Directors to handover the store post-acquisition, provide ongoing support after handoff.

Collaboration & Reporting
• Collaborate with pharmacy leadership and teams to implement recommendations and best practices.
• Develop and conduct training programs based on assessment outcomes to improve operational performance.

Documentation & Reporting
• Maintain detailed records of assessment findings, observations, and recommendations.
• Generate comprehensive reports outlining assessment results and improvement strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS AND OTHER SKILLS

• Licensed Pharmacist in good standing with the applicable provincial College of Pharmacists (strongly preferred) or Regulated Pharmacy Professional with significant leadership experience
• 5+ years of experience in community pharmacy operations.
• Proven success managing cross-functional teams and integration initiatives.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Proficient in project management tools such as Smartsheets
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic deals-based environment
• Experience managing multiple projects and/or integrations simultaneously
• Ability to travel throughout Canada, along with a valid driver’s license.
