The Pharmacy Intern – Outpatient, PRN supports a high-volume ambulatory pharmacy averaging approximately 400 prescriptions per day in a collaborative, patient-facing environment. This role rotates through multiple work areas with cross-training in all functions, including prescription typing and filling, customer service and register support, phone communication, and inventory management, with shared responsibility for daily workstation tasks. In addition to operational duties, the intern gains exposure to clinical activities such as prescription transfers, patient counseling, medication therapy management (MTM), immunizations, and project work, providing a well-rounded outpatient pharmacy experience.
