CareRx is looking for a Pharmacy Assistant to join our Pharmacy team in supporting a group of LTC Homes and Retirement Communities. The Pharmacy Assistant will assist with the preparation, packaging and organization of medication deliveries, while supporting daily operations in accordance with the Pharmacy Standards of Practice.

Role Accountabilities:

  • Packaging medications using a PacMed machine
  • Reallocation of medications
  • Maintaining and monitoring of pharmacy inventory when required
  • Pre-packaging medications as required
  • Miscellaneous support functions as required
  • Collaborates with all members of the pharmacy team to ensure medication orders are dispensed accurately, safely, timely and completely
  • Completes daily tasks in accordance with established work place policies and procedures
  • Consults with members of the pharmacy management and registered pharmacy team when there are unresolved issues surrounding day to day work functions
  • Follows all corporate regulations, policies and procedures at all times
  • Maintaining strict confidentiality and ethical standards
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Ability to effectively train/mentor pharmacy team members when required

Compensation Range: $18 - $20/hour. Actual pay rate will be based on the individual candidate’s credentials and experience.

Location:This is on-site role at our London Pharmacy and follows a five-day workweek. Hours are 9:30am to 5:30pm
