CareRx is looking for a Pharmacy Assistant (Pharmacy Software/ Kroll Data Entry) - Central On-Call Support Hybrid to provide after-hours support for emergency calls from Long-Term Care nursing home clients across British Columbia. Under the direction of the Regional Director, this role involves responding to on-call inquiries, supporting clinical and operational tasks, completing data entry, and coordinating with team members to ensure timely and accurate service delivery.
In addition to on-call responsibilities, this role provides operational support within the dispensary during scheduled in-pharmacy hours. Duties may include general dispensary tasks, workflow support, and other assigned projects as needed. Scheduled workdays and hours may vary based on operational requirements.

Role Accountabilities:

  • Participating in phone support for nursing customers, support emergency requests / questions including computer entry, triage of new orders, clinical question management and supporting with logistical coordination questions.
  • Data Entry Support
    o Create new resident profiles
    o Complete batch and routine billing activities
    o Complete new prescription and changes to medication entry
    o Complete continuation of therapy prescription entry
  • Pharmacy Site Support
    • On site requirement – be onsite on weekends and / or as required at the Burnaby location (8525 Commerce Court) to complete non-regulated pharmacy activities.
    • Support with other activities as designated.
  • Project Support
    • Support with pharmacy specific and regional projects in a non-regulated capacity.
    • Activities include data entry, updating files, pharmacy management software data quality or support for data entry process changes requiring updates to resident profiles.

What You Will Bring to The Team:

  • Minimum 1 year of pharmacy experience preferred
  • Experience in a Long-Term Care pharmacy environment is preferred
  • Experience with Kroll is a requirement. Experience with Kroll LTC modules is an asset.
  • Experience with eMAR is an asset.
  • Experience troubleshooting basic prescription and delivery questions an asset.
  • Patient care and member service skills are required.

Compensation Range $22-24/hour. Actual pay rate will be based on the individual candidate’s credentials and experience.
Location: This is on-site role at our 8525 Commerce Court, Burnaby (a 3-minute walk from the Production Way Skytrain), and follows a five-day workweek with weekend’s rotation.
Working Hours and Shift Timings: Thursday, Friday and Monday: 4pm to 12am working from home, Saturday and Sunday: 10am-6pm working on site
