Senior Pharmacy Appeals Technician – Remote

Contract Only | 10/2026 – 04/30/2027

Remote – U.S. Nationwide

Pay Rate: $22–$24/hr

We are seeking a Senior Pharmacy Appeals Technician to support a Medicare Pharmacy Appeals team. This role performs pharmacy technician functions, including clinical outreach and review of Medicare Part D appeal requests.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform clinical outreach and pharmacy technician review for Medicare Part D appeals.
• Make outbound calls to obtain necessary clinical information for appeal requests.
• Work efficiently to meet case deadlines and department production, quality, and accuracy standards.
• Maintain strong attendance and schedule adherence.
• Work independently with minimal supervision while contributing to team goals.
• Learn and navigate multiple Windows-based applications and healthcare systems.
• Maintain strong attention to detail and effective communication with internal and external contacts.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or higher
• 2+ years of Pharmacy Technician experience
• Active State Board of Pharmacy Technician License
• 1+ year of Microsoft Office experience
• Proficiency with Outlook, Word, and Excel, including basic spreadsheet functions.
• Ability to work within the required operating hours and occasional 8-hour Saturday shifts.
• Strong communication, organization, and attention-to-detail skills.

Preferred

• 4+ years of pharmacy-related experience
• Prior experience in a medical or clinical setting
• Pharmacy Technician experience in retail, hospital, or specialty pharmacy
• Prior Prior Authorization (PA) or Appeals experience is a plus, but not required.
• Flexibility to support business needs and willingness to work overtime when needed.

Schedule: Hours may vary based on time zone, with coverage generally between 6:00 AM–6:00 PM PT and alternating Saturdays.

Interview: 30-minute Microsoft Teams interview.

License: Active State Board of Pharmacy Technician Licensure required.
