Department Overview

Our department is in charge of new business development within the Commerce & Marketing Company, and we are developing business in the overall healthcare field. As a platform provider of healthcare-related services, we aim not only to maximize our own services with a sense of speed, but also to expand the Rakuten ecosystem by combining the healthcare data accumulated by our services with over 70 Rakuten Group services and assets (Rakuten Ichiba, Rakuten Life Insurance, Rakuten Mobile, etc.).

In addition, we are expanding our services by negotiating and collaborating with various counterparties such as external business companies, local governments, hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies.

The "Yoyakusuri" service promotes digital transformation of dispensing operations by providing online medication guidance functions in addition to advance prescription sending and payment functions for dispensing pharmacies nationwide. In the healthcare business, the company operates dispensing pharmacies within its own organization, and while striving to improve operations and the patient experience, it is also using this knowledge to improve the "Yoyakusuri" system and sharing it with affiliated pharmacies, thereby promoting improvements across the industry.

After the coronavirus, there has been a dramatic increase in interest in DX in the healthcare field worldwide, including online medical care and drug administration guidance. As a healthcare business, we are considering support services that enable dispensing pharmacies to provide value to patients more efficiently through the assets and knowledge within the Rakuten Group.

As part of this recruitment drive, we are seeking a pharmacist for Yoyakusuri Pharmacy to help expand our business by developing services that benefit patients and establishing pharmacy operations.

Position Details

You will be responsible for the following tasks at the pharmacy, and we expect you to demonstrate ownership by always being mindful of improvement and reviewing processes (simplifying and automating).

Detailed work

- Dispensing of drugs

- Medication guidance (face-to-face, online)

- Inputting data into the system

- OTC sales

- Administrative response

- Inventory control

- Medical expense claim

- Medication delivery

- Operational improvement

We handle a wide variety of medications, as we cover multiple medical specialties.

Working Hours

Shift work with a fixed 7.5-hour period within 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM

※Working hours and days are determined according to the shift schedule

※Includes work on Saturdays and Sundays

※Not subject to the flex-time system

Work Environment

Healthcare Business Section is a small organization of about 20 people. It is an organization where everyone acts with intention and responsibility, without boundaries of departments or roles.

There are five pharmacists working at Rakuten Pharmacy and Yoyakusuri Pharmacy, both of which are already open.

Mandatory Qualifications:

- Pharmacist's license

- Experience in dispensing pharmacy

- PC skills

Desired Qualifications:

- Supervising pharmacist

- Driving license

- Experience in service planning and operational improvements
