Under the supervision of the Clinical Pharmacy Manager, the Pharmacist Team Leader in Cardiology is accountable and responsible for ensuring safe and effective drug therapy for patients through the provision of evidence-based direct patient care activities. The Pharmacist Team Leader provides clinical orientation, education, and resource support to the clinical pharmacy team in Cardiology and takes a lead role in clinical research, quality improvement and patient safety initiatives designed to improve medication-use processes or pharmacy practice. Additionally, they help coordinate and take a lead in mentoring and preceptorship for hospital pharmacy residents, pharmacy students, and other interprofessional learners.
This role requires communication, liaison, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including Pharmacy & Cardiology Leadership & Quality teams, interdisciplinary committees and other groups (e.g., OPOR Pharmacy, Order-Set Coordinator, IV & Formulary subcommittees, IPPL, etc.) to achieve the above responsibilities.

$54.29 - $66.94 hourly
