Day ShiftThe Pharmacist will support a centralized specialty pharmacy prior authorization clinic serving West Michigan. This role is responsible for resolving and appealing prior authorization denials for prescriptions originating from Trinity Health providers, providing telephonic medication counseling to patients, and maintaining strong collaborative relationships with providers to minimize delays and ensure timely initiation of specialty therapies.
Also monitors patient drug therapies, and provides drug information. Directs support personnel. Can work independently while following departmental policies and procedures.
Education
Minimum Five year bachelor of science degree in pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy.
Preferred Advanced training in at least one specialty clinical area.
Credentials/Licensure
Minimum Current registered pharmacist license and controlled substance license issued by the Michigan State Board of Pharmacy.
