Park Nicollet is looking to hire a Controlled Substance Program Supervisor to join our team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.

Position Summary:

The Supervisor Controlled Substance Program provides system-wide leadership and oversight for the safe handling, monitoring, and diversion prevention of controlled substances across all care settings. This role directs program initiatives, supervises Controlled Substance Compliance and Diversion Specialist, ensures system-wide compliance with federal and state regulations, organizational policies, and best practices to safeguard patient and workforce safety. The supervisor collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, supports audits and investigations, and drives continuous improvement in controlled substance management.

Work schedule/FTE:

1.0 FTE/40 hours weekly. Monday through Friday, standard business hours.

Required Qualifications:

Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an ACPE-accredited university or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in pharmacy operations

Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:

  • Pharmacist registered in the State of Minnesota.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of DEA regulations, state pharmacy laws, and controlled substance policies.
  • Expertise in diversion prevention strategies and compliance monitoring.
  • Ability to lead and mentor colleagues with a focus on accountability and safety.
  • Detail oriented and excellent analytical skills for conducting audits and interpreting compliance data.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills across interdisciplinary teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities under regulatory scrutiny.
  • Commitment to ethical standards and patient safety.
  • Capacity to manage complex workflows and prioritize competing demands.

Preferred Qualifications:

Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:

  • Hands on experience supporting controlled substance compliance.

Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:

  • Any specialized certifications/certificates which enhance expertise in areas such as quality improvement, informatics, leadership, etc.
  • Wisconsin pharmacist registration preferred but not required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Experience as a pharmacy supervisor or manager
  • Able to assess and utilize business data to detect opportunities and issues; strong analytical thinking
  • Proficiency in documentation, reporting, and use of pharmacy information systems.
  • Skill in developing and delivering staff education tools or programs.
