The Pharmacist will provide accurate, safe, and ethical dispensing services while supporting high-quality pharmaceutical care within a health and pharmaceutical environment. The role requires strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and excellent patient counseling abilities to ensure optimal therapeutic outcomes and strict regulatory compliance.
Interpret and dispense prescriptions accurately in accordance with professional and regulatory standards.
Review prescriptions for completeness, therapeutic appropriateness, and potential drug interactions.
Ensure proper handling, storage, and inventory management of medications.
Monitor stock levels, check expiry dates, and maintain accurate pharmacy documentation.
Provide professional counseling on medication use, dosage, side effects, and drug interactions.
Guide patients on chronic disease medication adherence and lifestyle adjustments.
Attend to patient inquiries promptly and professionally.
Work with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to enhance treatment outcomes.
Participate in medication therapy management and pharmacovigilance.
Report adverse drug reactions and medication incidents appropriately.
Ensure compliance with PCN, NAFDAC, and internal regulatory requirements.
Adhere to SOPs, clinical guidelines, and safety protocols.
Support audits, quality checks, and continuous improvement activities.
Maintain a safe, organized, and hygienic pharmacy environment.
Supervise and support pharmacy technicians and assistants as required.
Assist in procurement activities and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers.
Keep accurate records of prescriptions, controlled drugs, and operational reports.
Contribute to efficient daily operations and excellent customer service.
Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD).
Valid license from the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN).
24 years experience in a community pharmacy, hospital, or related healthcare setting.
Strong knowledge of pharmacology, medication management, and regulatory standards.
Excellent communication and patient counseling skills.
Attention to detail, accuracy, and high professional ethics.
Proficiency with pharmacy management software is an added advantage.
