The Role

We are looking for a Payroll Officer to manage end-to-end payroll processing for our staff. This role owns the fortnightly pay cycle from timesheet validation through to statutory compliance, ensuring every employee is paid accurately, on time, and in line with Philippine labour law.

Key Duties

Payroll Processing

  • Process fortnightly (bi-weekly) pay runs end to end, including timesheet validation, leave administration, payroll adjustments, and deductions.
  • Calculate taxable and non-taxable earnings, employee deductions and benefits, bonuses and incentives, salary adjustments, retroactive pay, and final pay and separation benefits.
  • Reconcile payroll reports, payroll journals, and payroll-related balance sheet accounts.

Statutory Compliance

  • Prepare and remit BIR withholding taxes, including Forms 1601-C, Alphalist, and BIR Form 2316.
  • Prepare and remit SSS contributions and loans, PhilHealth contributions, and Pag-IBIG contributions and loans.
  • Apply correct holiday pay, overtime, night differential, and premium pay computations under the Labor Code of the Philippines.
  • Calculate separation and final pay and administer statutory leave benefits.
  • Handle payroll-related government audits, reconciliations, and employee inquiries.

Reporting & Records

  • Maintain payroll data with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Support general ledger payroll entries and payroll reporting for finance.

Requirements

Essential Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience doing payroll
  • Proven, hands-on experience processing fortnightly (bi-weekly) pay runs, including timesheet validation, leave administration, payroll adjustments, deductions, government contributions, and payroll reconciliations.
  • Strong working knowledge of Philippine labour laws, including the Labor Code of the Philippines, holiday pay computations, overtime, night differential and premium pay, separation and final pay calculations, and statutory leave benefits.
  • Hands-on experience with statutory payroll compliance, including preparation and remittance of BIR withholding taxes (1601-C, Alphalist, BIR Form 2316), SSS contributions and loans, PhilHealth contributions, and Pag-IBIG contributions and loans.
  • Experience handling payroll-related government audits, reconciliations, and employee inquiries.
  • Proven experience calculating taxable and non-taxable earnings, employee deductions and benefits, bonuses and incentives, salary adjustments and retroactive pay, and final pay and separation benefits.
  • Strong background in payroll reconciliation, payroll reporting, and general ledger payroll entries, including reconciling payroll reports, payroll journals, and payroll-related balance sheet accounts.
  • Experience managing payroll data with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Proficient in Xero.

This role is subject to a number of skills and possible online practical tests.

This position is an onsite role at our Pampanga office. Candidate must be willing to work on-site.
