We are seeking a passionate and experienced PGT English Teacher to inspire senior secondary students through engaging, student-centered, and outcome-driven learning experiences. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in English language and literature, with the ability to cultivate critical thinking, effective communication, creativity, and a lifelong appreciation for reading and writing.

As a PGT English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction aligned with the CBSE curriculum, preparing students for board examinations, and creating an inclusive classroom environment that encourages academic excellence and holistic development. You will also contribute to literary activities and collaborate with colleagues to enrich the overall learning experience.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Teach English Language and Literature to students in Grades XI and XII in accordance with the CBSE curriculum.
• Design and deliver engaging lesson plans that strengthen reading, writing, speaking, listening, and analytical skills.
• Foster literary appreciation through novels, poetry, drama, debates, presentations, and creative writing activities.
• Conduct classroom assessments, evaluate student performance, and provide timely, constructive feedback.
• Prepare students for CBSE Board examinations through structured revision plans and exam-focused guidance.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment using innovative and technology-enabled teaching methodologies.
• Mentor students in their academic and personal development while providing additional support where needed.
• Organize and encourage participation in literary clubs, debates, elocution, theatre, Model United Nations, and writing competitions.
• Maintain accurate academic records, attendance, assessments, and student progress reports.
• Collaborate with fellow educators on curriculum planning, interdisciplinary projects, school events, and professional development initiatives.

What Makes You a Great Fit

• Master's Degree in English from a recognized university along with a B.Ed. qualification.
• 3+ years of teaching experience in CBSE Senior Secondary classes, with strong knowledge of the English curriculum and assessment framework.
• Excellent command of English language, literature, grammar, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to deliver engaging, learner-centric lessons that promote critical thinking and creativity.
• Experience preparing students for CBSE Board examinations with consistently strong academic outcomes.
• Strong classroom management, mentoring, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in digital teaching tools and educational technology for interactive learning.
