What You Will Do
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading, coordinating, and developing the maintenance team to ensure the highest levels of equipment reliability, safety, quality, and operational performance within the Power Frame manufacturing area. This position oversees corrective, preventive, predictive, and reliability-focused maintenance activities while supporting the plant's objectives related to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and OEE. The supervisor is expected to be a highly engaged, hands-on leader who works closely with Production, Engineering, Reliability, and Maintenance Planning to drive continuous improvement, eliminate chronic equipment failures, and maximize asset performance.
A results-driven maintenance leader with strong technical knowledge and leadership skills, responsible for ensuring maintenance process discipline, continuous improvement of preventive maintenance programs, and long-term asset reliability. The Maintenance Supervisor must work closely with Planning, Production, Engineering, and Reliability teams to reduce downtime, improve equipment performance, develop maintenance personnel, and support Operational Excellence throughout the Oconee Power Frame facility
How You Will Do It
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of mechanical, electrical, and automation maintenance technicians.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct performance reviews, provide regular feedback, and support employee development initiatives.
  • Ensure effective allocation of maintenance resources based on operational priorities.
  • Establish and maintain high standards for maintenance execution and workmanship.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, FM Global, environmental regulations, and all company policies and procedures.
  • Enforce Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Arc Flash, and all applicable safety programs.
  • Lead investigations of equipment-related incidents, near misses, and safety concerns.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are performed safely and in accordance with established standards.
  • Coordinate and prioritize corrective, preventive, predictive, and improvement-related maintenance activities.
  • Partner with the Maintenance Planner to continuously improve preventive maintenance programs, job plans, and maintenance scheduling processes.
  • Ensure planned maintenance activities are completed on schedule and to established quality standards.
  • Conduct daily audits of maintenance routines and work practices to verify compliance with procedures, safety requirements, and maintenance standards.
  • Monitor the quality and effectiveness of maintenance repairs and inspections.
  • Manage maintenance backlog and ensure timely completion of work orders.
  • Ensure the accuracy and quality of maintenance documentation within the Maximo CMMS system.
  • Participate in weekly Root Cause Analysis (RCA) meetings with the Reliability Specialist.
  • Lead and support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions resulting from RCA activities.
  • Review maintenance strategies and PM effectiveness based on equipment performance data and reliability metrics.
  • Identify and eliminate recurring equipment failures and chronic downtime issues.
  • Support TPM, Lean Manufacturing, Reliability Excellence, and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Drive projects focused on improving equipment reliability, availability, maintainability, and maintenance cost performance.
  • Control and monitor the Post-PM Findings Report generated from preventive maintenance inspections.
  • Ensure deficiencies identified during PM activities are properly documented, prioritized, and converted into actionable work orders.
  • Track completion of corrective actions associated with PM findings.
  • Provide regular status updates regarding outstanding maintenance findings and associated operational risks.
  • Participate in weekly production and performance meetings.
  • Attend weekly DIE Press operational review meetings and performance reporting sessions.
  • Provide updates regarding equipment performance, downtime events, corrective actions, reliability concerns, and maintenance priorities.
  • Collaborate closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, and EHS departments to achieve plant objectives.
  • Manage the shipment and tracking of components sent to external vendors for repair and refurbishment.
  • Maintain full traceability of repairable assets throughout the repair process.
  • Monitor repair costs, turnaround times, and vendor performance.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing, Storeroom, and Planning teams to ensure availability of critical spare parts.
  • Manage the inspection, refurbishment, replacement, and inventory control of Roll Mill Shocks.
  • Monitor component condition, performance history, service life, and availability.
  • Ensure adequate stock levels to support uninterrupted mill operations.
  • Work with Engineering and Reliability teams to improve component life and reduce mill-related failures.

What we look for
Required
  • Strong industrial maintenance background in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automation systems.
  • Working knowledge of PLCs, industrial controls, and automated equipment.
  • Experience with Preventive Maintenance, Predictive Maintenance, and Reliability Programs.
  • Knowledge of TPM, Lean Manufacturing, RCA, and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with CMMS systems such as SAP PM, Maximo, or equivalent.
