
Under the direction of a qualified physician performs a variety of technical procedures that require minimum independent judgement and initiative in the utilization of Nuclear Medicine for the diagnosis of disease.
• Operate Nuclear Medicine equipment to perform high quality exams and procedures.
• Follows established guidelines in accordance with NYS DOH (New York State Department of Health) and ACR (American College of Radiology) standards.
• Transports, transfers, and positions properly for exams.
• Provides radiation protection in compliance with prescribed safety standards.
• Orders, receives, disposes of radioisotopes safely .
• Review and complete exams in PACS
• Demonstrates proficiency in the use of basic computer skills and patient care technologies, information systems and communication devices that support safe clinical practices.
• Obtain thorough health history and complete all documentation as required
• Perform daily, weekly, monthly quality control on nuclear medicine equipment.
• Perform other duties as required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Satisfactory completion of an approved Nuclear Medicine Technology Program
• NMTCB (Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board) and/or ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Associate's Degree
• 5 years full time or equivalent Nuclear Medicine experience

The Wynn Hospital will strengthen and grow full service cardiac offerings, support the development of a Neurosciences Institute that will include a Neurovascular Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center, will be a world class diagnostic center, including Interventional Radiology and Advanced Endoscopy and provides a Level III Trauma Center plus the ability to serve 90,000 emergency visits per year.
