Role: Dog Groomer Status: Full-time Salary: Negotiable and based on experience, commission, and tip opportunities Schedule: 4 day work week. Weekend availability may be required based on business needs

Dr. Norm’s Animal Hospital Groomery is seeking a skilled and passionate Dog Groomer to join our growing team. What You’ll Do

  • Perform professional grooming services including bathing, drying, brushing, clipping, and styling
  • Deliver breed-specific trims and custom cuts based on client requests and pet needs
  • Conduct pre-grooming health assessments to identify skin conditions, parasites, or matting
  • Provide nail trimming, ear cleaning, and gland expression services
  • Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized grooming station and equipment
  • Educate pet owners on coat maintenance and grooming best practices
  • Handle pets with patience and compassion while utilizing stress-reduction techniques
  • Assist with client check-in and check-out processes
  • Schedule appointments and support retail product sales

What Our Groomers Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Certification from a recognized grooming school or program preferred
  • Minimum of one to two years of professional dog grooming experience
  • Proficiency in hand-stripping, scissoring, and clipper techniques
  • Strong knowledge of breed standards and canine behavior
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to safely handle pets of all sizes and temperaments
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
