At Home Animal Hospital is a compassionate small animal practice located in beautiful Kahului, Maui, and we're looking for a dependable Kennel Assistant to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys staying active, loves animals, and takes pride in creating a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for every patient in our care.

Our kennel assistants are an important part of our hospital team. Whether you're caring for hospitalized patients, helping boarding pets feel at home, or supporting the veterinary team behind the scenes, you'll make a meaningful difference in the lives of pets and the families who love them.

What You'll Do

  • Feed, water, exercise, and monitor hospitalized and boarding pets
  • Walk dogs and provide appropriate enrichment and comfort
  • Clean and disinfect kennels, cages, runs, treatment areas, and common spaces
  • Launder bedding, towels, and hospital linens
  • Assist with patient handling and restraint as directed
  • Monitor patients for changes in behavior, appetite, or comfort and report concerns to the medical team
  • Answer phones, assist with scheduling, and provide excellent client service
  • Help clients with pet food purchases and nutritional products
  • Restock supplies and help maintain an organized hospital
  • Follow hospital safety, sanitation, and animal handling protocols
