Position Details

Role: Kennel Attendant Status: Full-time Salary: Starting at $16.00 per hour; additional $2.00 per hour shift differential for weekends Schedule: 10-hour day shifts; weekend and holiday availability required

Love spending your day caring for animals and making sure they have everything they need to feel safe, comfortable, and happy? We're looking for a dependable, caring, and self-motivated Kennel Attendant to join our team.

Our Kennel Attendants provide the day-to-day care our boarding pets depend on. From meals, walks, and baths to keeping kennels clean and monitoring each pet's well-being, you'll play an important role in making sure every animal receives attentive, compassionate care throughout their stay.

You'll also serve as an important voice for our boarders, communicating concerns to our veterinarians and helping ensure requested vaccines, nail trims, and other services are completed. If you're independent, observant, hardworking, and happiest when you're caring for animals, we'd love to meet you.

What You'll Do

  • Provide attentive day-to-day care for boarding animals
  • Feed and provide fresh water to pets according to their individual care instructions
  • Walk and exercise dogs throughout their stay
  • Bathe boarding pets as needed
  • Monitor the health, behavior, comfort, and overall well-being of each animal
  • Communicate concerns or changes in a pet's condition to the veterinary team
  • Serve as an advocate and voice for boarding pets while they're in our care
  • Verify that requested vaccines, nail trims, and additional services are completed
  • Clean and disinfect cages, kennels, and animal-care areas
  • Clean and maintain daycare yards
  • Help maintain a clean, safe, comfortable, and organized environment for every pet
  • Work independently while communicating effectively with veterinarians and teammates
