Position Details

  • Role: Pet Care Attendant
  • Status: Part-time
  • Salary: Negotiable and based on experience
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:15 am - 4 pm availability, Flexible weekend shifts Saturday 7:15 am - 2 pm / Saturday 4 - 7 pm, Sunday 7:15 - 11:30 am/Sunday 4 - 7 pm

Turkeyfoot Family Pet Center is looking for two part-time Pet Care Attendants to join our compassionate and hardworking team. We are dedicated to providing exceptional care for pets staying in both our hospital and kennel, and we’re searching for team members who love animals, enjoy working with people, and thrive in a collaborative environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Walk dogs and provide daily exercise and enrichment
  • Clean and maintain dog runs, cages, and cat housing areas
  • Care for Doggie Daycare pets throughout the day
  • Feed pets and ensure their comfort and well-being
  • Administer oral medications as directed
  • Monitor animal behavior and health conditions and report concerns to technicians or doctors
  • Maintain accurate records and daily logs
  • Help maintain the cleanliness and organization of kennel and hospital areas

What Our Pet Care Attendants Bring

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A patient, caring, and compassionate attitude
  • Ability to follow instructions carefully and work independently when needed
  • Comfort working around animals of all sizes and species, including cats, dogs, birds, and reptiles
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting up to 40 pounds
  • Customer service experience and a willingness to learn are a plus
